Program Description
The Building Blocks of Integrative Therapy You’ll learn fundamentals including:
- Concepts of energy and consciousness – the underlying theory
- Character defense systems — keys to diagnosing the personality
- Techniques of energetic work — including use of appropriate breathing
- In-depth personal work — your life task and core qualities
Basic Energetic and Holistic Techniques You’ll learn and practice basic techniques for working with the body and the mind, including:
- Aspects of psychosomatic unity as detailed by Reich
- Hands-on techniques developed by John Pierrakos, MD, founder
- Physical interventions to release blocked emotions
- Breathing, visualization, and soft techniques such as aura and chakra work and massage
- Identifying and changing belief systems
- Controlling the mind, rather than being controlled by the mind
Integration of Spirituality You’ll look at the spirituality within the context of a therapy session. You’ll focus on all aspects of the therapy including:
- Building rapport
- Assessment and diagnosis (Including body readings)
- In depth treatment approach – confronting the mask, releasing and transforming the lower self, living from the core
- Uncovering the universal life plan/ spiritual transformation
- Ending the therapy
- Working with transference, counter-transference, and resistance
Developing Your Leadership and Your Life Plan You’ll work on developing your leadership as a holistic therapist. Special emphasis is given to the following topics:
- Leadership skills
- Individuality as a therapist
- Sexuality
- Ethics
- Group therapy
- Couples therapy
- Psychosomatics
- Practice management
- Putting your universal life plan into practice
Requirements:
- Attendance 10 days per year for two years –
- 5 two day sessions per year
- 10 individual integrative sessions per year
- 5 individual supervision sessions per year
- reading assignments, homework and a final video project
- 4 three hour group process sessions per year
