Supervision Sessions

Supervision sessions are 50 minutes in length and directed toward the needs of licensed and certified practitioners in somatic and verbal therapies.

Examples of questions and concerns that have been brought to supervision.

How do you work with a very collapsed, depressed and anxious client who is on medication?

How do you work with a psychopathic client, the victim of childhood abuse, who presents with a sexual addiction?

How do you deal with clients who do not return to therapy after a few sessions?

When is a positive transference from the therapist to the client counter-productive?

Can you do more than one process with a client, for instance, massage and therapy, if you are licensed for both?

Under what conditions do you use the bow and with which character structure is it most helpful?

What should happen during the first therapy session?

How do you deal with a highly qualified client, someone who has more degrees than you do?

How do you set rates for your sessions?

In what way do you control the session; in what way does the client control the session?

What physical techniques do you use with each character structure?

Energy Theory for Therapists

Friday, October 28 — Sunday, October 30, 2011 — 20 CE Credits

Participants learn energy theory and life fulfilling techniques for the five energy types. By engaging in charge, discharge, grounding, breathing, movement, dance and other expressive techniques, you will open blocks in the energy field and create a strong pathway toward health. As you work both objectively and intuitively with powerful healing energies, and learn the energetic qualities of the chakras and aura you will provide a transpersonal and healing experience for your clients.

The Holistic Treatment of Trauma  (Rejection, and Abandonment),

Friday, November 18 — Sunday, November 20, 2011 – 20 CE Credits,

This course emphases attachment and trauma from a holistic perspective using body therapy techniques such as grounding for the feet, legs, and eyes. The result is developing a healthy ego, making contact, being in reality, and opening physical blocks in the body. You will learn soft and gentle techniques for those who experienced early trauma and fragmentation.

Holistic Therapy Techniques for Enmeshment & Betrayal,

Friday, January 27 — Sunday, January 29, 2012 — 20 CE Credits

This in-depth training teaches participants to work with people who have been smothered or betrayed. Clinicians explore their own resistance to the therapy, as well as transference, and countertransference issues. Techniques emphasize work with anger management and assertiveness, focusing on the body. They promote independence, a healthy ego, and the ability to surrender. Your clients will learn to individuate, trust, and feel. Experiential exercies include breathing, charging and discharging, assertiveness methods, and work on the roller.

Core Energetic Body Readings: Creating a Treatment Plan Friday, March 23 — Sunday, March 25, 2012 – 20 CE Credits

The frozen history of the person is recorded in the body and an exploration of meanings embedded in skin, body fat, eyes, height, muscles, breathing, posture, gestures, kinesthetic movements, and facial expressions provide tremendous insight into the personality. The focus of this course is what the body reveals about personality traits, developmental wounds, desires and needs and the techniques to use with each of the five body types.

I am also grateful for your integrity and presence.  In terms of my growth within myself, our last training has allowed, or facilitated, deep altering of my inner life. I feel my goodness, my heart, my soul, is so much more empowered.  And the altering have been so deep reaching.”

Donovan, Core Energetics Trainee

“One of the most powerful things I have gained with Karyne is my capacity to communicate. I can be in truth and communicate my feelings to the point I had not been able to do before. That has developed out of our relationship – our communication, the trust I have gained.”

Brian, Core II Student.

I want to thank you for the amazing amount of information you shared with us. I learned a tremendous amount and am so happy about being there to have received it. Secondly, I want you to know that being seen like that … has really brought the meaning of my ‘story’ to my heart … I didn’t believe my own ‘story’ until this weekend. Having people see it in my body makes the ‘story’ real, three dimensional and undeniable.

Cynthia, Core Energetics Trainee

Your workshop touched me at the heart level and I know that everyone who attended was also touched by the work … I was able to do a work of deep sharing (at home with my wife) and we were hugging and sharing this morning … and we wondered where we would be if I had not found you and Core

Cliff, Living Core Student

What a wonderful experience your workshop was – the powerful women, the topic, and the process. It has fed me and helped me in the last couple of weeks as I went back to my studies. I feel a renewed sense of purpose and fullness.

Elizabeth, Core Energetics Practitioner

The material and the teacher are highly engaging! Karyne is an independent thinker and excellent at anticipating our needs as individuals.

We were really challenged to bring the skills we learned into our practices and explore different styles and theories in sessions. Karyne created a safe harbor for us to explore new ways of working while diving into our own stuff.  She is an amazing leader and I learned an endless number of techniques by just being in her presence.
